Failed Recording options

Please consider testing for am internet connection when switching to a new program to record. Sometimes my ISP resets my connection and Playoin blows thru everything on the queue setting them to not recorded while my internet is down. Then there is no easy way to re-add everything back. It would be helpful to pause and re-check the connection. Also, it would be helpful to have one button to retry all the failed recordings. Thanks

I like this as well. Maybe instead of having a show get tossed from the queue on the 1st failure, allow it to stay in the queue until it fails x number of times. With that, you'd also want to implement a minimum amount of time to pass between tries as well.  Say 5 minutes by default. That way if the user experiences a network hiccup, one or more shows may fail on the 1st loop through the queue, but would likely succeed on the next time around.

    Hardly.

There are a ton of reasons for why a recording would fail besides just your bandwidth. Here are just a few of the issues I've seen personally.

    • There could be issues with the channel itself.
    • You may have exceeded the max number of concurrent streams for that account.
    • Issues with your login credentials.
    • CPU could have maxed out due to other process running on your server.

Sounds like you need a new Internet provider.

Agreed.  Unattended failed recordings should simply re-try a few more times.
