Is PlayOn adding 1080P?

I read a couple articles where PlayOn plans on adding 1080p support...... After over 10 years of begging it's finally here right?

You can read the Article or just read this snippet below..

Also, video resolution is limited to 720p, and that's not going to change for the desktop version. (PlayOn says it plans to add 1080p video support later this year, but only for the cloud version of its service.)

I'm holding off any upgrade or any subscription until I see features like this added instead of support removed and product and "lifetime" subscribers abandoned.

Just as a follow up, 1080p is just for Cloud customers and not for "home" customers.  Home customers are now playing a subscription to use the service, so it would be nice to see 1080p become and option.

Good luck because I fully expect they won't.

So sad. So paid for lifetime subscription that ended. Now paying for Home subscription, but doesn't have all options. Well played PlayOn. YOU GOT ME!! I also expect they will not add 1080p to playon home.

1080p is one of the selling points for cloud; they have zero reason to improve home users experience.

Not only is 1080p not available to Home users, it takes 3 credits to download a 1080p program. So what does a download credit mean? About as much as a LIFETIME subscription that becomes obsolete as soon as they revise the buggy software. No wonder they were pushing the lifetime offers back then.

All I can say is PlayOn must be doing very well, otherwise they would be listening.  Usually, it is the 800lb Gorilla companies who are unfocused making billions a year that don't listen and let products die on the vine. Once they've sucked the profits out of one product they acquire/buy the next. So, Kudos to Playon for making the money they want to make and not giving in to pressure.
