A "season pas" style auto-recording of shows.

Cowboy77 I'm not sure how this is planned...but it'd be nice to do something like ask PlayLater to record a series for something in say the TVLinks plugin where the files are more likely to all be in folders such as: Season 1 folder<Episode 1 folder<Source 1 folder-Source 2 folder etc. and in the folders are the episodes to be able to ask PlayLater not only to record the files when they become available in the folders when they appear, but keep downloading until a file download finishes completely so you don't get bad files

Julius G. Perkins, IV Would be awesome if we could add some intelligence for keeping up with the latest episodes. Soort of like a having a a 'Follow Program'-esque option. So for instance, lets say we're talking about Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs on Netflix. Periodically an entire new season will 'poof' appear. Having an option to auto-download the newest episodes (or entire season) would be nice. A better example that might hit home for many might be TV shows like The Office, Burn Notice, 30 Rock on Hulu, Amazon or many of the other networks. I see high value in having a 'Follow' or 'Track' show option that auto-records the latest episodes as they're made available.

aaron camp Agreed. I just bought the playlater after being a LONG time playon user. The only thing missing is the option to grab new shows as they are available. Untill ten, 'll be relying on sickbeard to say when to search for new shows.

Rob Zerr I'd like for PlayOn to be able to download all the episodes for a show automatically. I hope that's how this feature will work.

Brian Varbel I want this "Season Pass" feature as its how all modern DVR's work...You tell it what show, and it records all episodes in the future with options not to record reruns/repeats. I hope this gets implemented.

Matthew Bailey This would be a great feature, I'm sure hard to put in place but certainly one that'd get used a lot by folk. -
Chris Weston I would love this feature! Sometimes there are issues causing downloads to fail (when networks change their website/technology) so the PlayLoater would have to have a way to try again later if it's unable to download initially.

Jeff Would it be possible to add a command line to PlayOn/PlayLater? If there isn't an easy way to add a 'season pass' to a folder, if you added a command line system, we could sort of do it ourselves with scheduled tasks. Something like.
PL -record -/hulu/shows/thedailyshow/fullepisodes/* -append
That way you could have very dynamic ways to keep up to date.
