Compatibility with Google Play (YouTube Purchases)

Problem Statement: Currently, we can use PlayOn to watch videos on YouTube. However, we cannot watch our Google Play and/or YouTube purchases.  The reason why is because PlayOn does not actually log into the YouTube account. Therefore, only free public YouTube videos can be watched via PlayOn.

Suggestion: Implement a feature to allow PlayOn to log into YouTube account, and PlayOn should then be able to view Google Play purchases. Alternatively, PlayOn can implement a feature to allow PlayOn to log into the Google Play account and view the purchases directly.

Background info: Google Play is Google's equivalent to the Amazon VOD store. Users can buy music, movies, and TV shows (as well as other things).  Google Play is just the storefront, while YouTube is the delivery platform. Once users buy from Google Play, they can view the media either directly on the Google Play website (which gives a pop up that looks like a YouTube video), or they can go to YouTube and watch using their Google account that they used to purchase the media.

This was working until recent versions of the application.  Any updates on this?

    PlayOn Support (Chris)

Unfortunately, this is impossible as long as Google uses their current system for account logins. Without a way to sign-in, this can't be done. We can only hope it will change some day.

Are you able to support casting via the PlayOn app?
