For several days now Amazon Prime, HBO Go, Showtime and other channels have been inaccessible through PlayOn Cloud reporting that they are "undergoing maintenance" and to "check back in a day or two." Do you know when this maintenance will be completed and the channels will work again?

Jon Cloutier The channels are back up this morning. I really appreciate PlayOn correcting the problems, but a little more communication would be nice. I really don't want to complain though...when the app is working, it really works great. And there really are no other apps out there that can do all that PlayOn does. So kudos PlayOn! Thank you for fixing this.

Jeff Nuzum Widevine by Google, the h264 platform for Playon, has not been updated, but I believe the problem goes deeper.
The Playon widevine version is v1.4.8.1008 along with the widevine adapter - widevinecdmadapter.dll .
Google Chrome is using v4.10.1224.7, and Firefox is using v4.9.1088 however, the newer versions are no longer using the widevine adapter.
Also, Silverlight released an update on 1/15/2019 but it doesn't fix anything.
In the Playon software I replaced widevinecdm.dll with the newer version along with the .lib .sig and json manifest, but was unsuccessful, but I'm shooting in the dark.
fyi; it also appears the browsers might also be using the Cisco open source OpenH264, the add-on was auto installed with the widevine add-on when I tried to play a Hulu video.
The Playon errors are Connection Error 3001 with Hulu and "Upgrade Google Chrome" when playing a Prime video. I have the latest version of Chrome installed, but still no joy.
Quite a few changes in the H264 DRM segment but hopefully Playon can fix it soon.

Arthur Carapola Jon:
I just submitted feedback to my most recent ticket. This is ridiculous. For me, it's been about a week. Most of their channels are down. Then I tried to use the browser plugin, BUT part of the support process told me to upgrade to the latest version and that one no longer has the browser plugin. I submitted a ticket for that and was told it was too hard to support the browser plugin so they dropped it.
I'm really frustrated and disgusted with the support from Playon. If anyone knows of an alternative, please let me know. I'm ready to walk away from this product.

Rique Santiestevan I just updated a ticket which I first entered five days ago:
"Hello, the silence is deafening! What is going on?
I still cannot access Hulu, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, Showtime, CBS, or Crackle - all that happens is the maintenance message. It has been 5 calendar days since I entered the help request and the issue persists. In addition, I don't even have a reply from you on your support channel. This is aggravating and frankly unacceptable - are you still in business?
PLEASE reply and advise of the status."
Perhaps if we stirred up more of a fuss in the community, we'd get a reply? I have over 200 credits and cannot use them (except for Netflix). This is completely ridiculous and totally unacceptable.

Tricia Macke Amazon not working for me still, however spectrum is fine

Jon Cloutier I just checked and Amazon is working for me. What error message are you getting?
-
Tricia Macke @ Jon Cloutier, according to Windows its an unknown error. It attempts to record but then just stops and a message pops up at the bottom of the computer screen with the unknown error.
-
Jon Cloutier Tricia, are you able to stream from that channel outside of PlayOn?

David S. Tricia, these troubleshooting tips can often resolve issues: https://support.playon.tv/hc/en-us/community/posts/115008253467--PlayOn-Channel-Troubleshooting-Tips

Tricia Macke I finally found a workaround for my issue, so not sure if it'll help someone else. But I do believe there is still a lingering issue with Amazon. Thanks David and Jon for reaching out and posting, I didn't want to bother Play On's tech people as I'm sure they're still trying to resolve the issue. First I tested my password on settings thru the playon app on my pc, that was fine. Then I tried to play the video thru the app as opposed to record. Then it prompted me to login, however Playon/Amazon would not allow me to login as my keystrokes were unresponsive on that page. So I closed out the player but not the playon app, then opened Amazon on my regular web page and logged in. Tried to replay the video thru the app, it said something to the effect of it couldn't be played right now, so then I closed the Amazon page I had open and tried to replay and voila it played, and now my video is recording as we speak.
