Simplify the UI

Suggestion #1

Would like to see a "quick-link" button to take me directly to my video library (and it's sub-folders) when I select "Media Library".  As it is now, I have to traverse down about 5-6 levels to finally get to the area where my videos are.

Suggestion #2

I really don't have a need for "Pictures" or "Music", It would be really nice if we had a way to un-select them in the settings menu so that only "Videos" would show up.

PlayOn is rather minimal as a media server. I recommend using the Plex or Emby media servers for watching videos, including those recorded via PlayOn. You do lose access to the Ad Skipper feature that way though. However, Plex has 30-second skip-forward which, for me, is an adequate alternative to auto-skip when the "video preview thumbnails" option is enabled. I value finding the video I want to watch faster and having the fast-forward thumbnails over the Ad-Skipper.

Thanks David..  I've tested both Plex and Emby, and they both exhibit the same basic config/layout as PlayOn (no way to specifically limit the media lib to Video only, or directly link into my main directory without going through various levels/links to get there!  I at least like the PlayOn interface the best for my needs.  I'll just learn to live with my issues, Thanks again!

Are you using DLNA then? That's the only way (that comes to mind) that Plex and Emby would be so much like PlayOn.

What devices are you using (LG TV, Samsung TV, iPhone, Roku, Android (mobile), Fire TV, etc.)?

I'm not consciously using DLNA, although it is running on my PC/Win10 (Media Library). My device is a Roku Premium+.  Being a noob to Media Servers, I wasn't aware that you could config PlayOn/Plex/Emby without - or seperate it from - using DLNA (like I said noob)

Which Roku "channels" (apps) have you tried using for watching your PlayOn recordings? PlayOn, Plex, and Emby each have their own channel(s).

I'll have to look into that, I don't think I have a specific PlayOn app for the Roku configured. I'm on vaca for a week, I'll look into that when I get back David. Thanks again!
