Currently theres no way to configure transcoding formats, and if the device you want to play to doesnt support MPEG2 (like the raspberrypi), playon simply doesnt work.
However if there was an option to transcode to MP4 playon would work wonderfully with this cheap very popular device.
Also it might be another good idea to add the ability to choose audio codec as well, should be simple to do.
We don't plan to change how PlayOn transcodes the video streams. However, you can buy an MPEG-2 license for the RaspberryPi for only a few dollars.
