I have encountered several occasions where Playon has automatically updated to a bad version that broke basic PlayOn capabilities. Unless I had locally stored an earlier of version of Playon to be able to reinstall it, I was stuck until a new version of PlayOn was released that fixed the broken feature.
Please provide a setting to prevent automatic updates of PlayOn and allow manual updates of PlayOn.
Please provide a mechanism to access a prior version of PlayOn for reinstallation.
It would be helpful if there was a way to download the previous 2 or 3 versions. I've gotten in the habit of checking for new versions several times a week and downloading them.
I turn off auto-update for most things, when I can. It would be nice to be given the option for PlayOn as well.

That is how updates to Adobe Flash work and allows the user to plan an update rather than unpredictably having one appear.
Agreed. Lately, Time Warner Cable and Amazon alternatively break with updates, I think there is a problem with the build tree where someone is not using the latest code when they fix the latest problem... I cannot imagine that Amazon Video is changing the way it operates many times a month just to thwart playon.tv... especially since often the old version works.
It would be nice to disable updates or selectively install one of the latest of several versions... it is very intrusive to auto update software in this day and age... who knows what problems this could cause if the software gets hacked or a virus ends up in the updated code. I still am not very comfortable with these auto-updating behaviours and it did not even happen on my PC until suddenly late last year.
Agree--Actually, there is a feature in your settings that you allows you to ucheck updates, but I suspect that it's broken, because updates still happen. Playon please fix this
