DirecTV Now Recording Request

Hi there PlayOn!

I have been a lifetime member of PlayOn for almost a year now and wanted to thank you for adding support for DirecTV Now. I have a question regarding the DirecTV Now channel for PlayOn. I am able to record everything but am wondering if you will be adding a guide for scheduled recordings as with a traditional DVR. I would really like this feature added if possible so that I can set it and forget it kind of thing. I like being able to use my guide in Emby for OTA live TV and just telling it to record or record series without me having to specify the how long I would like to record. Is this something you can do for the DirecTV Now channel?

    I would like to suggest/request that PlayOn tackle the idea of being able to interface and read the DIRECTVNOW guide data they offer and then allow the creation of 'timed recordings'. I understand that this would be a challenge, but it is definitely doable and would be a huge new feature for customers.

    I would also like to see the same type of support.  If you could even simply setup a timed recording at a future time and channel to record a live stream, that would be an awesome first step.  While I would love to browse a list of future programs, that is probably more complicated than having the program simply record a specific live stream from a channel at a scheduled date/time.

    I second Joseph Wiseman as well. Being able to record like an OTA DVR would be awesome, but just being able to schedule the recording of a specific show that airs at a specific time each week would be brilliant. I would welcome at least being able to specify a duration in the web interface, like you can in the desktop app.

    I agree with this request. This would be very helpful for the "live" channels on both Xfinity and DirecTV Now.

    One starts to wonder if the support team even looks at these ever. I don't see any responses from PlayOn to any requests lol. Literally nothing on the posts/requests that I have read through from the support team. This is an amazing product... I just hope that we are being listened to so that the software can continue to grow.
